I have received my Ph.D. in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP) from the department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Concordia University,Canada in October 2012. I have obtained my masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Manitoba, Canada in 2005. I am a faculty member in the Computer Science department at Vanier college (Montreal) and Part-time faculty member in the Computer Science and Software Engineering department at Concordia university. I have more than 3 years teaching experience as an instructor at Vanier College, Canada. Currently, I am on maternity leave from February 2013 to December 2013.
My research interests lie at the intersections of NLP, Summarization, Summary Evaluation Tools, Discourse Structure Identication, Sentiment Analysis and Polarity Detection, Social Media analysis, and Question Answering on Semantic data or Linked data. Before going to my maternity leave, I was working as a Research Associate at CLaC Lab, Concordia University with Dr. Leila Kosseim. I have published 13 papers in refereed journals and conferences including the RANLP, CICLing, and TALN Conferences.
Currently, I am looking for a postdoctoral position in the area of Natural Language Processing.
